Job Description
The Medical Advisor will work at leadership level with a focus on health systems management and clinical governance along with other management duties related to Health, Safety and Security department of the client company.
At corporate level, he will act as one of the main stakeholders of the health agenda and organization of the client company, in charge of ensuring the development, implementation and reporting of a sound Health Management System group-wide. He will also monitor the quality of medical care and occupational health service that the client company contracts to
support their global workforce.
At site level, he will work together with the site management, HSE and HR leaders, to mitigate health-related risks, implement Standard Occupational Safety Health (OSH) on-site Services and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Remit
Specialist Assessments: to conduct health assessments, health risk identification and gap analysis of corporate medical systems and/or project/Site and operations and provide recommendations to management, including on the resources needed to execute OSH plans;
Expert Advice: to monitor and advise on medical incidents or emerging health concerns that may have implications on personnel and/or business continuity, and provide medical governance, support, representation and perspective to client company’s project/Site and corporate stakeholders;
Health Systems Development: to develop and assist implement policies, standards, procedures, programs, plans and promotion materials on occupational health, health surveillance, wellness, travel and safety, and develop robust, exhaustive, transparent health reporting system to client company’s management.
Qualifications
Work Experience
Be a Medical Doctor with at least 10 years post-graduation experience;
Have experience of working in both developed and emerging markets;
Demonstrate a special interest and experience in international health in an industrial context;
Have experience of working in a fast-moving, operational, culturally diverse, matrix organization;
Be capable and experienced in leading/managing medical organizations at a senior level;
Being able to act as a health expert and advisor to non-medical corporate executives;
Be capable and experienced in supporting business development and client account management while being passionate about serving clients.
Qualifications
Post graduate qualifications from an academic medical institution or medical specialist college is a requirement (e.g. emergency medicine, public health, occupational health).
Required Registration
Registration to the Medical Council in country of origin;
Registration as medico competente according to the Italian registration.
