Working as a FIFO Remote Site Medic, the successful applicant will be responsible for delivering timely and effective health advice and emergency medical treatment when required at the remote field site.
Duties of this role will include:
Providing front line First Aid treatment to employees and contractors across the field exploration program when required.
Liaising with the Site Manager to arrange emergency and non-emergency medical and health services onsite.
Promote a safe and health workplace through regular observation and monitoring of activities and employee health across the field operations.
Conducting scheduled inspections, stock takes, stock ordering for all on site first aid stations.
Maintain all required registers, forms and reports as requested.
Support and participate in “Fitness for Work” program including D&A testing as required
To be considered for these positions, it is expected that applicants will meet at least the following criteria:
At least ten (10) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic combined with experience providing onsite emergency support for remote site field programs/remote site locations.
Current Nursing or Paramedic Registration in Australia.
Be fit and healthy to perform hands-on tasks at the site.
Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining and improving health and safety.
Demonstrate a history of positive work attitude and project completions.
Drivers Licence (Manual).
Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
Hold 4WD Course/Defensive Driver Training Certificates.
