Caliburn is currently seeking Foreign National Paramedic's for an Aeromedical Evacuation Team (AMET) to support the UN Mission in both Djibouti and Hudaydah Yemen.
**This Position is Notional Pending Contract Award
Location: The Mission location is in both Djibouti and Hudaydah Yemen.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Must have successfully completed a formal Paramedic Training Program resulting in a degree or certification.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Paramedic.
Hold and Maintain a license or practicing certificate as a Paramedic from United Nations member state.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advance Life Support (ACLS) and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS/ITLS).
PHTLS and/or ACLS Instructor Certifications preferred.
Must be familiar with the Global Air Ambulance Practice and Standards.
Training in Aviation Medicine required
Ability to be granted a clearance by the United Nations
From a United Nations Member Nation
Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well with senior management and across functions to achieve business objectives
Strong organizational, analytical and written/verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner
Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency
Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Duties:
The primary responsibilities of the Paramedic include the following:
Coordinate and perform aeromedical evacuations and provide patient care during transport under the direction of the AeroMedical Physician or Specialty Nurse.
All AMET team members will be on call for emergencies.
Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
Perform as part of the Aeromedical Team, maintain positive professional relationships with colleges, EMS and hospital personnel
Support the clinic or ambulance when not participating in a Medevac or CaseVac
Assist the Casualty/Medical Emergency Coordinator to operate the Crisis Medical Operation Center.
Facilitate training in First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) to mission personnel.
Facilitate training using ETB (Emergency Trauma Bag) for mission personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
