We are seeking to appoint a Mine Site Nurse/Medic, someone who is up for a challenge and has a desire to work within a can do environment. Reporting to the OH&S Coordinator, and working in a small team of professionals, The Mine Site Nurse/Medic is responsible for providing medical support to the operation.
The core accountabilities of the position are:-
Provide nursing advice, and hands on support in site first aid or medical emergency situations
Provide professional advice, and hands on support to the OHS Team to ensure that medical facilities are maintained to the highest standards
Maintain all requisite medical records, both hard and electronic copy, commensurate with the role
Provide any other reasonable support, within your capabilities and training, to assist the Auctus Safety and Health Department to meet it's objectives
Enter all safety and training records into the Auctus Database (MinRep)
Manage return to work cases
To be successful, the candidate will have:-
Certificate of Registration: Registered Nurse or similar Senior First Aid Certificate
Min 5 years nursing experience Manual Drivers Licence
Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices;
Ability to effectively prioritise while maintaining forward motion on key deliverables;
Team player with the ability to maintain internal and external relationships, including Chillagoe Hospital/Clinic
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
Good computer skills and familiar with office data base
