Petrofac is currently looking to recruit an Offshore Medic/ HSE Co-ordinator based at EnQuest Kittiwake (Part-Time)
Offshore Medic/ HSE Co-ordinator will provide onsite first aid, primary care and emergency healthcare provision for all offshore personnel. Perform in the role of medic in accordance with the
duty holder emergency response procedures and Medic Standing Orders, exercising professional accountability in all areas of practice. Advise and monitor occupational health, hygiene, safety and environmental quality matters. Identify and manage hazards to reduce risk to health and to safety, aim to continually improve of health and safety performance and management systems.
Job Specific Duties:
Healthcare provision
• maintaining the first aid provision through delivery of regular training for the first aiders and stretcher teams in-line with the annual first aid training plan and emergency response procedures
• ensuring that sickbay facilities and medical stock control & ordering are maintained efficiently and adhering to MSO’s and duty holder policies
• maintaining medical confidentiality and medical documentation (including medical log and health records) in accordance with Data Protection Act 1998
Safety / Environmental
• co-ordinate, provide guidance, support, and carryout assessments on COSHH, HAVS, manual handling, DSE and other identified workplace hazards
• be a key member of the permit planning process to ensure that occupational health / environmental issues are captured in the safe system of work
• focal point for potable water management
• DECC interface role
Competency
• ensuring all mandatory training and job specific training and competencies are current and maintained
• actively participating in clinical governance processes including clinical audits, appraisal, CPP completion, onshore occupational health teleconferences and Petrofac medics annual training
The successful candidate will have a valid HSE Offshore Medic Certificate and any other relevant qualifications/ certificates to the role.
