Remote Medical International is seeking a new member for our team to serve as a Nurse Practitioner. The successful Nurse Practitioner will have a can-do, roll up your sleeves attitude and will be
responsible for stabilizing and preparing sick and injured personnel for transport to a higher level medical facility. The NP will operate in a clinic setting with a multi-disciplinary team.

Essential Job Duties:

Stabilizes and prepares sick and injured personnel for transport to a higher level medical facility
Documents care delivered and follow-up care required
Perform initial patient work-up to assess patient care and/or treatment
Provide urgent primary care and/or preventive services to healthy individuals
Collaborate with remote physicians regarding patient management and/or revision of therapeutic plans
Determine the need for additional tests, such as laboratory tests and xerography (x-rays), to complete patient assessment
Discriminate between abnormal and normal findings to recognize early stages of physical, emotional, and/or mental problems
Location:

This position would be in a clinic setting on a U.S. Government compound located in Afghanistan.

Rotations & Project Duration:

The project duration is estimated to last one year. Rotations typically last up to 6 months at a time. Successful candidates are eligible to take R&R throughout the year. We are also seeking Nurse Practitioners that are looking for long-term, full time and short-term fill-in assignments.

Minimum Requirements

Active license/certification as a nurse practitioner
Current NCCPA certification and unrestricted U.S. state license
Ability to obtain and maintain a Fit for Duty (FFD) clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance to drive company vehicles
Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR or equivalent(s)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent(s)
Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent(s)
Current DEA License.
Willingness to work up to 6-month rotations
Preferred Qualifications

Experience providing clinical care in Afghanistan or Iraq
