Position Synopsis
As an Emergency Services Officer you will be required to contribute to the provision of services to the Process and Underground areas of Olympic Dam Operations. You will be involved in ambulance services, mine rescue, fire fighting, rope rescue and hazardous material response. You will also undertake gatehouse duties, training of other departments and conduct inspection, auditing and maintenance tasks on stock and equipment.
Skills and Experience
Successful candidates will have qualifications in Ambulance (or similar medical field), Emergency Response and Industrial fire fighting - Public Safety Competencies and with a sound understanding of all Emergency Services tasks and equipment. Ideally, you will have experience within mine rescue, although you may have worked within other industrial emergency services environments and gained relevant industry experience.
You will have the ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership along with a strong passion for emergency response and safety.
Possession of a Heavy Truck Licence, Senior First Aid Certificate and Workplace Trainer qualifications will also be well regarded.
This is a residential role based at Olympic Dam and works to a 4/5 day/night rotational roster.
