Minimum of three year experience operating as part of an emergency ambulance crew.
High school diploma.
Valid Driver's License. Candidates should be trained to care for a variety of patients in many types of situations including motor vehicle accidents, chest pain to serious heart attacks, medical emergencies, multi-system traumas, disasters, respiratory difficulties, and perdiatric emergencies to childbirth. Specialized training in areas such as responding to hazardous material situations, and scenes involving weapons of mass destruction. Other advanced techniques such as intravenous cannulation (IV), endotracheal intubation (ET), and esophageal airway placement, are plus.
