Protective Security Specialist - Paramedic

We are recruiting a Protective Security Specialist / Paramedic in Erbil, Iraq at the US Consulate for our client whoprovides process and technology-based critical services to government and commercial enterprises around the world.

3) SECURE for delivering mobile and static security services, and end-to-end critical facilities management.

Responsibilities
Provide advanced emergency medical care to Contractor personnel, COM personnel, and others at the direction of DS/RSO, including invasive and pharmacological interventions within the Contractor’s Scope of Practice and in alignment with the National Emergency Medical Services Scope of Practice and WPS III IDIQ, Attachment 13, Clinical Protocol Guidance.
Perform day-to-day personal protective security functions.
Drive the lead vehicle, principal’s vehicle, follow-vehicle, and/or act as a response agent whenever required in motorcade or similar operations.
Maintain the assigned protective formation position during the principal’s walking movements.
Participate in advance security preparations.
Staffs the security post at the principal’s residence, or man the command post or other static post as required.


Qualifications
Applicants must pass the pre-employment Physical Readiness Test (PRT) to advance in the application process for the position.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess current and active National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification as a paramedic.
Certification must be valid before deployment, and remain valid throughout deployment.
Must possess current approved Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Professional Rescuer certification or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Training credentials [i.e., International Life Support (ILS) or Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent].
Candidates selected for a position must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved reasonable accommodation request on file for a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief that prevents them from complying with Acuity's mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement


Must have completed the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course, or an equivalent tactical trauma course of at least 16 hours duration, within the last ninety (90) days. Completion of the PHTLS or ITLS course required in subparagraph C above does not satisfy this requirement. Must possess the following:A minimum of three (3) years of pre-hospital emergency medical services experience at the AEMT or paramedic level.
**While the Government may accept military service as a medical provider (including special operations units) to satisfy this requirement, the Government will not accept service in which a non-medical provider (infantryman, vehicle operator, clerk, etc.) provides a medical first response as an ancillary duty in satisfaction of this requirement. Work experience in a hospital or clinic setting does not satisfy this requirement**


Upon bio approval and before beginning work on the contract, the PSS/PARA shall:
Attend and complete the PSS training course


Qualify with the Glock-19, M4 or MK18 as specified by the designated TO, M240, and M249, re-qualifying as required in WPS III IDIQ, Attachment 2, Training.


Obtain and maintain a Personnel Security Clearance as identified in the TO.
Complete the WPS III Physical Readiness Test, per WPS III IDIQ, Attachment 15, Physical Readiness Test Protocols and Standards, at the sixty-five (65) percent performance level, and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the TO.


Possess no impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy in general, or to the country or countries assigned in the applicable TO.


Based upon the needs of the program and Project Management discretion, qualified individuals may be required to temporarily fill an alternate position.
