GP Clinic Doctor/Offshore Doctor - Brunei
International SOS is recruiting for an experienced Doctor who has proven experience working within a General Practitioner/Clinic type environment but also has the added experience in working as a topside Offshore Doctor. The doctor will work in an established onshore health center supporting our major Oil & Gas client based in Brunei.

The position is based on a rotation of 4weeks on duty followed by 4weeks off duty.
Flights, accommodation, coupled with all the necessary remote site insurances are provided.
Payment will be in USdollars and will apply to on duty days only.
A daily meal allowance will apply.
Start date is imminent.

Job Scope

The Doctor is the sole provider of primary and emergency health care services to an offshore workforce and oversees all aspects of clinical medical management within the onshore clinic, including medical evacuation support. Primary function for this position is to see patients from the community on a walk in basis in the clinic, as well as acting as topside support if there are any medical emergencies in other operations.

The clinic is exceptional busy as it provides medical care to a diverse group of patients with demands that require total customer-focus at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake clinical consultations and provide a high standard of service and care to patients attending the clinic
Treat all clinical presentations to the minimal effective level of care in an effort to reduce client lost time exposure without compromising patient wellbeing or recovery times
Develop and ensure continuity of patient care and appropriate follow-up and referral
Assist with the implementation of preventative medical care strategies, including structuring and performing medical screening services if required
Manage the delivery of competent and professional health services according to the International SOS standards
Assist with ensuring appropriate patient triage and flow within the clinic
Provide 12 hour plus non emergency medical response and services to employees on site, with the remaining 12 hours on call for emergency response
Co-ordinate with the Client, International SOS Assistance Centre and Co-ordinating Doctors the procedures required and preparation of patients to facilitate evacuation if required

Criteria to apply:

Must be current and medically registered in country of origin or residence
Minimum 5 years' experience in OBYGN, family medicine, and pediatrics
Must have proven offshore TOPSIDE experience (non negotiable)
Have previous remote site experience
Hold a valid ACLS (AHA)
Hold a valid ITLS or PHTLS or ATLS
Have proven experience in community health dealing with all genders including children
Must have the ability to make decisions and communicate clear instructions to all areas of support
Hold a valid offshore qualification such as BOSIET or FOET (must be Opito approved) or be prepared to obtain this qualification at own expense.
Excellent English, both oral and written is essential
Must hold a valid passport
Must be COVID vaccinated
