Role Requirements
Candidates must be able to demonstrate from their prior education and experience that they are operating at Level F or higher of the Royal College of Surgeon’s Edinburgh PHEM Skills Framework.
Candidates must hold one of the following valid medical qualification or equivalent with aminimum of 3 years post qualification experience (Candidates will be required to provide certificates to corroborate their credentials prior to deployment)
Offshore Medic or FREC5.
EMT- P (Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic)
Registered Paramedic (HCPC, AHPRA, ANT, HPCSA, etc.),
Required supporting medical qualifications
In date ITLS (International Trauma Life Support) and or ATLS (Advanced Trauma life support and or PHTLS (Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support) and or ALS (Advanced Life Support) and or ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Other hiring criteria:
English speaking expatriate
Minimum of 1 years commercial PSD experience in a similar role within Iraq or Afghanistan
Not less than 3 years previous military or law enforcement experience
Completed recognized PSD/CP course
Excellent written English Communication skills
Experience of training multi-national personnel.
Proven IT skills in all Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
Able to provide training to all team members in trauma and life support.
Experience of Oil field operations (preferred, not essential).
Services
Services provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the Position and include, but not be limited to the provision of protective services to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of Petrofac, Baghdad. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include:
Conduct duties as Deputy Team Leader/Tier 2 medic of Mobile Security Team. Protect clients, company employees and assets within leaving and working premises also during mobile security missions outside of secured areas.
Manage medical and trauma emergencies
Provide medical training to team members and clients
Formulate diagnosis and communicate with Petrofac MMS Medical Team and Operations Manager to provide casualty status and medical information.
Assess and recommend transfer of casualties to Tier 3 or 4 hospitals.
Assist the Team Leader to maintain operational oversight and control and delivery of monthly training to the team.
Assist the Team Leader to maintain control over company assets including vehicles, weapons and other sensitive equipment.
Produce security briefings to team members and clients
Comply with company and clients policies and regulations.
Produce clear written and verbal reports
Remain patient and flexible at all times to the client’s needs without compromising safety.
Undertaking any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GW Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
