Job Brief
The Resort Nurse plays a very important role within the HR and welfare function of the Resort. He/She assists, monitor and give health care to all the staff.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Check the Pre-Employment Medical Certificate of the expatriates and report any discrepancies to the HR manager.
Provide basic First Aid to the staff and guests
Provide First Aid Training to the staff
Ensure that each Department has a First Box
Liase with Ministry of Health to ensure that the Food Handlers test are conducted as per the Food Act
Liase with the ministry of Health to ensure that the Medical certificates of the Expatriate staff are attested
Advice and guide the expatriate staff of their entitlements in terms of the Medical Scheme
Inform HR Manager whenever a staff needs to be referred to the Doctor or Government Clinic
Produce relevant periodic reports as and when required
Number of sick leave recorded
Number of staff /guests seen
Food Handlers status ratio
Visit and report any hygiene issues at the Staff Restaurant/Main Store /Kitchen/Staff accommodation
Report any heath and safety hazards
Accompany the staff to the hospital as and when required
Assist in the induction process of the new Employees
Administer Medical and Personal Accident Schemes
Counsel and advise staff in all Medical related issues
Plan supplies well in advance and liase with the HR Manager to ensure availability of medical equipments at all time.
Attend and act as First Aider in all the sport and Welfare activities organised by the Staff Welfare Manager
Perform any other duties as assigned by Management
Candidate Requirements:
Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or health related fields.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a resort environment or Hospitality Industry.
Registered Nurse with Medical Council.
Excellent team player.
Motivated and enthusiastic.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
