Medical Doctor - Afghanistan
PAE is seeking Medical Doctors for positions, pending contract award, performing Medical Services at Bagram Airfield (BAF), Kandahar Airfield (KAF), and Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA), in support of various health initiatives.
The Medical Doctor shall have:
Five (5) years of residency training (essential).
Three (3) years of experience practicing as a primary care doctor.
Counseling and listening skills.
Organizational and time management skills.
Decision-making skills and communication.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced austere environment.
Certifications:
Current state medical license and Federal DEA license (essential).
Completed U.S. Medical Licensing Examination (essential).
Qualifications
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Valid US or local driver's license and US passport
Active Secret Clearance.
Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
Preferred previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
Education:
Degree in Medicine (essential).
WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS
This position will be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be exposed to extreme and austere environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this austere, extreme environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time.
