Essential Job Duties/Scope of Work:
International Medical Corps works to reduce the vulnerabilities of conflict-affected populations in eastern Ukraine and has currently one project supporting Mental Health and Child Protection from our Mariupol office. We are a team of 28 people in Mariupol and Kyiv.
IMC plans to expand and through this initiative will provide WASH in health facilities around Mariupol, mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic with a hygiene education component, IPC and EH pillars.

JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of the Medical Coordinator includes delivering the overall health and WASH component for the COVID-19 ongoing responseresponse. IMC places the capacity building at its heart, this includes working and training staff and direct beneficiaries.
• This position will
• Provide leadership for the Health Team throughout the recruitment process of health coordinator and other project staff
• In coordination with Health Team and CD, determine optimal programmatic responses and guide the team indevelopment of project materials and tools
• Available to participate in internal and external representation of health team
• Lead new concept notes and proposal development process in health
• Lead and guide the team on radid health and WASH needs assessment
• Lead report writing for the internal and donor needs
• Assess and support capacity development of Health Team
• Any other task assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications:
• Minimum of bachelor's degree in medicine and masters in pubic health or a similar degree will be preffered ;
• Minimum 3 years of experience at the managerial and technical level relating to primary and secondary health care, maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, community health, WASH, communicable diseases and outbreak/emergency response
• Ability to work remotely ad deliver expectations in case it will be required
• Ability to effectively present information (both written and verbally) and respond appropriately to questions from senior managers in the field, counterparts, senior government.
• Ability to understand gender related challenges within the beneficiary groups
• Excellent report writing and proposal writing skills
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in emergency phases, including assessments and the design and delivery of effective health and WASH interventions in humanitarian and development contexts;
• Knowledge of the AOR (Mariupol, Donetsk)
