Job Description:
Provides medical services, first aid, and emergency services. Overseas, occupational health & safety, and clinical medicine. Serves as the initial on-site medic for routine medical issues for contractors and subcontractors; performs vital checks and diagnoses patients with minor symptoms and prescribes medication as necessary. Responsible for administering on-site inoculations for required vaccinations, and drug and alcohol testing. Works closely with on-site HSE management to assess work injuries and accidents, provides documentation to assist company with workers compensation claims. Determines fitness for duty of contractors and subcontractors with senior HSE management. Maintains medical records for on-site contractors and subcontractors. Required to operate an emergency response vehicle and perform maintenance and inventory management on emergency equipment and supplies.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
TYPICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will
possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
