Combat Medical Training Assistant Team Leader (ATL) , Somalia

Overview: Sincerus Global Solutions is searching for a Combat Medical Training  Assistant Team Leader (ATL) to support the Department of States' Bureau of African Affairs mission to mentor and train the Somalia National Army (SNA) and other Troop Contributing countries to the Africa Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM). This mission will take place entirely in Somalia, within the AMISOM area of operations. Primary goals of this mission include but are not limited to:

Successful mentoring of UPDF units, other units as directed by the GOR, and Danab units to carry out their mandated security tasks effectively in support of the approved Somali Transition Plan (STP), updated concept of operations (CONOPs), and United Nations Security Council Resolutions (UNSCRs).
The mentored UPDF and SNA Danab forces engage safely, professionally, and constructively with Somali communities to establish conditions that facilitate transition from AMISOM to Somali security forces in the effort to stabilize southern and central Somalia.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Medical ATL will assist with managing a basic combat medical training and mentoring package to be provided to the Somalia National Army (SNA). The Medical ATL will be the Medical Team Leaders primary assistant for contract execution, coordination, and management of all medical related contract activities in the respective country. The Medical ATL shall be a military or civilian subject matter with the ability to incorporate U.S. Army doctrine, United Nations, and Partner nation guidance applicable to the task assigned. This position will include classroom instruction, field medical training and medical outreach operations to local villages. In the TL's absence the Medical ATL will also manage personnel assignments across training tasks; maintains professional standards of accountability, quality, and effectiveness; monitors conduct and discipline and tracks the movement of his or her team members traveling to, working in, and departing from the host country; and ensures the conduct and quality of all medical contract activities and requirements.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of ten (10) years U.S. or foreign military medical occupational specialty experience.
Minimum Emergency Medical Technician (Basic) qualification.
Experience working in a trauma hospital or conducting triage operations during peacekeeping or disaster relief operations.
Experience as a trainer to a foreign security partner with directly related experience in medical capacity building.
Experience living & working in austere environment for extended periods of time.
Regional experience in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Capable of moderate physical exertion to include the ability to lift and carry items up to fifty (50) pounds, be able to conduct travel and work within an equatorial environment with a limited support infrastructure.
Must be proficient with personal computers and possess the professional knowledge to efficiently use Microsoft office products such as word, power point, and excel.
Possess an understanding of the need to conduct oneself in a diplomatic and culturally sensitive manner.

Preferred Qualifications

(Preferred) Two (2) years of counter insurgency experience.
