GardaWorld offers a competitive daily rate (Contractor will only be paid whilst on-duty – no payment made for Off-duty)

Duty Rotation
8 weeks on, 4 weeks off, subject to operational requirements
Travel Pay
Contractors are not entitled to pay while travelling. The first day of pay is the day of arrival in the country of operations. The last day of pay is the day of departure from the country of operations.
Visa Requirements
The Company will apply for Letters of Invitation on behalf of the Contractor; visa costs incurred by the Contractor shall be reimbursed
Package
GardaWorld will provide the Independent Contractor with appropriate accommodation, insurance, flights and life support while on duty.
Flight Package
GardaWorld will provide an economy class return ticket per rotation to the project location from a hub airport as close as reasonably practicable to the Contractor’s declared home address.
The Contractor will be asked to declare their preferences for a primary, secondary and tertiary hub airport from the GardaWorld hub list at the commencement of their engagement. Where possible and commercially acceptable, GardaWorld will look to book travel to and from one of the preferred hubs.
The Contractor will be responsible for any travel arrangements between the hub airport and their home address.

Role Requirements
Essential
British, passport holder.
SC cleared for all departments
Qualified to FHPC PHEM Level F - Non registered health care professional e.g Ambulance Technician or equivalent.
SIA licence - Close Protection (frontline) – passed the standard SIA 4 week training course and hold a current licence or any equivalent agreed with the Authority.
C1 Licence or equivalent
First Person on Scene (FPOSi) Intermediate (Level 3 minimum) or First Response Emergency Care (FREC) (Level 3 minimum) as a minimum or equivalent authorised by the Authority.
Demonstrable experience in close escorting and body-guarding with an accredited close protection training organisation and undergone at least two weeks dedicated training by their current employer.
At least 7 years of recent accumulated experience (including operational experience) in a sovereign military unit or para-military police force.
Active experience in the use of firearms, specifically pistol, sub-machine gun, carbine and light machine gun. Compliant with the Authority’s specified firearms training and fitness standards.
Capable and safe driver of heavy armoured four-wheel drive vehicles.
Qualified Civilian Armoured vehicle driver or equivalent.
Trained in weapon retention.
Trained in non-lethal options / open handed protection techniques.
Current and valid UK Driver’s license or other as accepted by the Authority.
Fluent written and spoken English
Competent in Navigation/GPS/Tracking system
NCA Specific
Capable of passing the NCA qualification shoots and job-related fitness assessment.
Desirable
Recent military or security experience in Afghanistan or Iraq.
Recent commercial security guarding experience on a similar security guarding contract
Previous Afghanistan experience.
Services
Services provided by the Contractor shall be those typically expected for someone in the Position and include, but not be limited to the provision of armed mobile protection medical services to ensure the safety and security of all client staff and other personnel who come under duty of care of FCO Kabul, Afghanistan. Services the Contractor can expect to carry out, would include:
Operating as a driver or commander of a B6 armoured vehicle as part of a mobile protection team.
Acting as a PPO to Authority clients whilst they conduct their daily duties as part of a mobile protection team.
Providing immediate emergency medical support (Trauma) and in case of medivac.
Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of clinical guidelines and treatment advancements and demonstrate continuous professional development of medical skills and treatment techniques.
Responsible for ensuring all medical equipment is maintained in an operational condition and ensure that all equipment and medicines are in a sterile stage before ‘use by dates’.
Responsible for providing first aid training to Authority staff.
Undertaking any other direction or reasonable request given by appropriate GardaWorld Management team in accordance with GW Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines
