Physician (Yemen / Djibouti )

Caliburn is current seeking a Physician to be part of an Aeromedical Evacuation Team in Djibouti in support of the UN Mission in Hodaydah, Yemen.

***This is a Notional Position Pending Contract Award

Location: The Mission location is in both Djibouti and Hudaydah Yemen.

Duties: 
The primary responsibilities of the AEMT Physician include the following: 

Perform as part of the Aeromedical Team, maintain positive professional relationships with colleges, EMS and hospital personnel.   
Assist with Air or Ground medical evacuations 
Coordinate and perform aeromedical evacuations  
Provide Patient Care in Austere environment 
Provide specialized medical care to the patient from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility.  
Maintains thorough patient care documentation. 
Provide treatment under night flying conditions with medical equipment compatible with Night Vision Goggles. 
AEMT Team members are on call for emergencies. 
Seamless cooperation with air crews and ambulance crews. 
Respond to emergency cases with Ambulance staff in an ACLS pre-hospital setting.  
Shall participate in Mass Casualty plans and training. 
Attends pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings and completes necessary documentation.  
Attends aircraft safety education and briefings.   
Training for non-medical personnel in First Responder Course and use of the Emergency Trauma Bag. 
Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements
Qualifications: 

First Level Medical Degree to qualify as a Physician.
Board Certified/PostGraduate Certification (diploma in specialty) followed by 3 years’ post qualification experience and progressive practice in Emergency Medicine, Aero-Medicine or Anesthesia. 
Hold and Maintain a license or practicing certificate as a physician from home country.  
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advance Life Support (ACLS) and Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLS).  
PHTLS or ACLS Instructor Certifications a plus.  
Must be familiar with the Global Air Ambulance Practice and Standards. 
Training (one week minimum) in Aviation Medicine required 
Ability to be granted a clearance by the United Nations 
Must be from a United Nations Member Nation  
Fluent in English, both verbal and written. 
Passport is required.  
Ability to work well with senior management and across functions to achieve business objectives 
Strong organizational, analytical and written/verbal communication skills 
Strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner 
Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency 
Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
