Main objectives
Provide medical care/supervision to patients/beneficiaries/Health Facilities according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, organization protocols, values and universal hygiene standards to improve the patients/beneficiaries health conditions.
Monitor and assist the supported in IDAL project by: performing Trainings, identify gaps, assessing needs and facilitating relationship between partners.
Perform Mobile clinics consultations in IDP Camps according to rosters.
Main responsibilities and tasks
Contact regularly the Heath facilities to apply best medical knowledge and skills in order to diagnose, prevent and carry out outpatient and inpatient consultations; ensuring adequate prescriptions for the necessary treatment by respecting the protocols.
Support the health staff to ensure the rational prescription of drugs, consumption of medicines and equipment under his/her responsibility and monitor quality, standard disinfection and sterilization of the medical material. Assure general compliance with standing hygiene standards, while supporting the HF.
Participate in the collection and analysis of epidemiological data, checking its validity and informing the line manager or project coordinator about any incident or medical error and monitors the proper functioning of the department, including equipment or material.
Ensures training of the medical/paramedical multidisciplinary team in order to optimize the quality of care.
Ensures that all medical protocols are respected is checking that universal precautions are followed at all times, reducing bio-hazard risks and improving infection control. Ensures that professional confidentiality is respected.
Manage the team under his/her direct responsibility according to HR policies and procedures, supervising their performance.
Participates in assessments and collects information on other HF with an accent on the medical needs.
Weekly and monthly quality reporting to the management team located remotely.
Timely communication and sharing medical needs with relevant departments and staff in order to ensure quick medical response in regular and emergency interventions.
Requirements for the position
Education:
Medical Doctor Diploma
Experience:
2 year experience minimum as a Medical Doctor or in clinical work (can be within medical training).
Experience in Public Health, obs and gynae, pediatrics, infectious diseases general practice, general medicine or minor surgery. Experience in performing trainings is desirable.
Languages:
Fluent in English & Arabic (written and spoken)
Others:
Essential computer literacy –office package.
Strong communication skills using different internet platforms.
