Job Role:
We are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified French speaking Doctors/ Nurses, and Medics who have experience in emergency and flight medicine to support a UN peacekeeping mission in remote West Africa. Candidates must be fluent in both French and English.
Successful candidates will be working within a team conducting aero emergency medical evacuations via helicopter. Duties may also include delivering first aid training, health and fitness initiatives, sexual health and smoking cessation programmes and risk assessments.
Experience /Qualifications :
Registered Doctor/ Nurse or Medic with current registration/licence to practice
At least 5 years' experience in either Anaesthetics, Emergency Medicine or Aero medicine
Post Graduate diploma in either Emergency Medicine, Aviation Medicine, Anaesthetics, ICU/ITU, Disaster Medicine or equivalent
Certificates in French and English language skills
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Advanced Trauma certificates (ITLS, PHTLS, ATLS or equivalent)
Computer literate
High levels of health and fitness
