Site Paramedic - West Musgrave Project

We are seeking a qualified Site Paramedic required for the West Musgrave Project which is based in remote WA. The roster is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Shifts are 12 hours long.

Responsibilities
Respond to medical emergencies treating in appropriate manner, injuries, sudden illness and casualties arising from a broad range of incidents.

Undertake a thorough clinical assessment of patients to identify illness or injury and plan and initiate appropriate patient management consistent with ambulance protocols and the paramedic scope of practice.

Manage, administer and/or supply medication and treatment according to relevant legislation, regulations, guidelines, policies and procedures to support the provision of the most effective care and treatment to the patient in an ethical and professional manner.

Operate medical equipment and implement medical procedures to provide patient care and treatment in an out of hospital environment consistent with the Paramedic Scope of practice.

Coordinate the on-site implementation and maintenance of HSE management plans, construction risk assessment and other specific HSE procedures and documentation for projects/work sites assigned.

Prepare HSE materials for, attend, and participate in scheduled project/worksite meetings.

Promote and actively participate in project/ work specific HSE programs, i.e. behavioural based safety observations, etc.

Coordinate project/work site specific emergency response exercises and drills, in consultation with the relevant Project/Site Manager.

Coordinate project/worksite specific competency verification requirements.

Participate in, and assist project/work site management with the completion of incident investigations and paperwork involving clients, employees, sub-contractors or visitors on projects/ work sites assigned

Competency Requirements
Qualification in Paramedic clinical practice as stipulated in Ambulance policy

Current unrestricted Light Rigid Australian Drivers Licence (Manual)

Computer literacy with demonstrated ability to learn and operate new and existing electronic patient records, data terminals etc.

Planning and organising skills to effectively manage own time and prioritise workload, with the ability to manage stress and maintain performance under pressure without negative impacts.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work in a team as well as independently.

Ability to prioritise organise.

Willingness to learn on the Job.
