Executive Protection Medic

Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Executive Protection Medic Team Member is to provide medical support to assigned Principal/s, locally and during domestic and international trips. The Executive Protection TM will provide emergency medical and trauma care, as needed, until safe transportation to a hospital can occur.  TM will maintain a high level of confidentiality with regards to any sensitive information pertaining to Principals, means and methods, and or Company information.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Monitor the executives’ medical condition on a daily basis
Assess each medical situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol
Attend to injuries or illnesses by applying a variety of pre-hospital treatment; first aid, CPR, administering injections and oxygen, etc…
Utilize medical equipment including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, intravenous fluids, and other procedures and medications required to provide advanced medical care
Monitor patient’s condition en- route to the hospital
Collaborate with relevant parties such as police, firefighting unit, doctors, etc…
Read medication/prescription labels and directions for usage in quick, accurate and expedient manner
Lift and move patients as required to provide optimum care
Keep current with new treatments and medical procedures through continuous training and maintain all required certifications
Ability to work past scheduled shift with little or no notice
Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

21 years of age.
Proof of authorization to work in the United States
Las Vegas Sands Corp. is an E-Verify employer

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration, valid Nevada Driver's License and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
Must have a Southern Nevada Health District Emergency Medical Services paramedic license, CPR card and a current Paramedic license with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians- NREMT.
Must be certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Must be certified in Critical Flight Paramedic OR (CFP) and Critical Care Paramedic (CCP).
Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience as a Paramedic.
Must possess valid/current passport and be able to travel at least 35% of the year
Candidate must be able to meet operational requirements in a highly-dynamic environment while facing strict time constraints in domestic and international settings
Exhibit strong problem-solving, decision-making abilities with the faculty to prioritize and manage tasks while working independently
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to:

Lift or carry 60 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
Must be able to drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and various objects.
Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
