Primary Responsibilities:
Clinical Role: Assured provision of the Medical Emergency Response to meet legislative requirements and the Shell HSSE and SP Control Framework Emergency Response (including Medical Emergency Response) Manual. Provision of clinical care in line with evidence based medical practice guidelines and within the individual’s competence medical referral of individuals, liaison with Topside cover, sick-bay management, medical equipment management, drug ordering and disposal, management of Controlled Drugs, review of medications carried offshore by individuals, First Aid team training and exercises, Emergency Response Team medicals (OGUK), professional and timely clinical record keeping using the One Health IT system, Health Promotion in line with the Shell Be Well programme
Occupational Health and Hygiene Role: includes Health Risk Assessment, Psychological risk assessment as per the Shell Resilience programme, Assured Safe Catering inspections, Manual Handling Assessment, Legionella, COSHH (including
Benzene and Mercury), HAVS, Occupational Illness recognition and investigation, Noise , Asbestos, DSE, Potable water sampling (Chemical & Biological), Exposure Data Management, verification checks and audits (LOD1), attendance and contribution to ISSOW/Permit Vision permit meetings
Occupational Safety Role: prioritised after clinical and occupational health roles. Includes: health related SAP routine tasks, health topic presentations at HSE meetings, toolbox talks, work site visits. Tasks which must not interfere with roles 1 and 2 include: Behavioural Safety programme administration, including Fatigue Focal Point, Approved Persons ‘Register(Competencies) focal point, Platform induction as per the medic responsibilities of the revised Shell Induction programme , Platform H2S training, RPS awareness training, Vessel entry training
Platform Specific Roles includes non-health and safety tasks that have been risk assessed and agreed with Shell Health that they do not compromise or conflict with the clinical, occupational and safety requirements. All such deviations should be documented by the platform and counter signed by Shell Health. Examples include: Leg Entry training, NORM etc

Required Qualifications:
Nursing or military medic experience
Knowledge and working experience of the offshore working environment
