SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Medical Technologist . The Medical Technologist will facilitate keeping patient records and adjusting and maintaining equipment; preparing work schedules, evaluating purchases of equipment, or managing a medical technical department.
Essential / Duties
• Keeps patient records and adjusts and maintaining equipment
• Prepares work schedules, evaluates purchases of equipment, or manages a medical technical department
• Performs complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological tests
• Examines and analyzes body fluids and cells and matches blood for transfusions
• Analyzes chemical content of fluids and tests for drug levels in the blood
• Prepares specimens, counts cells, and looks for abnormal cells in blood and body fluids
• Analyzes test results
• Makes cultures of body fluid and tissue samples to determine the presence of bacteria, fungi, parasites, or other microorganisms
• Analyzes samples for chemical content or a chemical reaction and determines concentrations of compounds such as blood glucose and cholesterol levels
• Evaluates test results, develops and modifies procedures, and establishes and monitors programs to ensure the accuracy of tests
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Must be credentialed as an MLS (ASCP), MLS (ASCP) eligible or certified by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
• Must have completed a formal Medical Technology training program leading to a diploma, certificate or degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in desired field
• Certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Must be familiar with the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) requirements for maintaining blood products for transfusion
• All health care providers and medical support staff must have recent clinical experience in patient care for at least six months out of the past year

• Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
• Long Hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
• Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse condition.
