Raleigh International is looking for doctors, nurses and paramedics to join our International Citizen Service (ICS) programme in Nicaragua. ICS is a UK government fully funded programme which aims to bring about young people from all over the world to fight poverty in rural communities across the globe. To safely and successfully run Raleigh ICS we need medics to do so!
Raleigh will cover your costs (flights, vaccinations, accommodation etc...). As the ICS medic you’ll mainly be based in Raleigh’s operational hub – the field base, although you will get some experience on the project sites as well.
Your role will consist of looking after the general health of all the volunteers, supporting operational decisions and managing any emergencies that may occur, therefore in order to apply you must have at least two years clinical experience which will enable you to support volunteers living in a remote environment.
When can I go?
Raliegh International are currently recruiting for our summer programmes.
• Nicaragua: 6th September until 22nd December 2017
Further programmes available in January 2018.
