Onsite OHS is searching for an experienced Safety Paramedic for a Construction contract in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities:
This position will serve as a safety and health care professional providing high quality care in site assigned remote occupational health clinics throughout the US. Duties include:
Screen and attend all new patients with injuries work related and non-work related
Make contact with higher level of care, if necessary
Manage all ongoing care of work related injuries and illnesses
Assist patients with questions concerning symptoms, medications, and methods of care
Provide patient education regarding disease processes, medications, etc.
Develop educational material as needed
Work as a liaison between Onsite OHS and its client, taking on new tasks as assigned or necessary
Work closely with safety department in ongoing injury related investigations, incident investigations and management, new hire orientations, and developing proactive measures for preventing work related injuries and illnesses.
Provide first class patient care
Maintain patient safety, care, confidentiality and appropriate follow-up treatment
Function as phone liaison between specialists, primary care providers, and other health care professionals
On a regular and continuous basis, exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences and results having an impact on people, costs and/or quality of service within the functional area
Coordinate response to patient emergencies in the clinical setting
Responsible for mobilizing and de-mobilizing clinic and relocating as needed
Responsible for assigned company vehicle for roving
Serves as a resource in a team environment
Assist with providing training and/or competencies for staff
Meet all Joint Commission Standards and Guidelines
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Current, active, and unrestricted Paramedic license
OSHA 30 strongly preferred but not required
Three (3) years active pipeling and/or construction field safety experience preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor STRONGLY preferred
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required
Ability to function as a team as well as independently
Clean driving record
Great personality and initiative a must
Excellent communication skills
Computer skills and experience in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint required
