A new permanent opportunity has become available for a Paramedic at Peabody’s Millennium Mine . The Millennium Mine is an open-cut mine located 160 kilometres south-west of Mackay that produces coking and low to mid-volatile pulverized coal injection coal for export markets.
About the Role:
The Paramedic will assist the HST team in many areas and not solely in their medical capacity. Duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Coordinate site Rehabilitation and Return to Work processes
- Coordinate site health and hygiene monitoring program including but not limited to dust, noise, whole body vibration and water monitoring
- Provide for various levels of First Aid and Low Voltage rescue training
- Manage and maintain all site first aid and rescue equipment
- Coordinate and monitor on-site electronic health records system
- Coordinate provisions for allied health services eg. eye tests, flu vaccinations, hearing tests and skin analysis
- Be an active member of the site Emergency Rescue Team
- Assist in delivering the site induction process
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 3 years’ experience in heavy industry, preferably in the coal mining industry
- Diploma in Paramedical Science (minimum requirement)
- 5+ years’ experience as a Paramedic
- Experience in Emergency Rescue Response
- Current Queensland RRTWC competency
- Current Certificate IV Trainer/Assessor competency (TAE40110)
- Current Supervisor RII competency (RIICOM301, RIIOHS301, RIIRIS301)
- Current R/A facilitation competency (RIIRIS402)
- Current STD 11 & CBM Competent in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with SAP, PIMS, Onsite Track Easy (Desirable)
- Current manual drivers license
This position is offered on an 8 /6 roster with camp accommodation provided at the Coppabella Civeo camp.
