Location: Calgary,AB Canada
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
• First Responder
• Running our First Aid program
• Assisting with our Calgary facilities safety program
• Providing medical treatment
• Maintain first aid room and records
• Creating, editing, and modifying documentation including manuals, correspondence, forms, office duties, and department reporting
• Assist in WCB and RTW programs and providing ongoing follow-up to ensure the program is running effectively
• Assist with H & S committee
• Keep up to date on all amendment to acts and regulations
• Training of Health & Safety with all employees
• Ad Hoc reporting and projects
• Actively participate in the growth & implementation of the department
• Assist with Health & Safety initiatives
• Researching, tracking, preparing documents or analytical reports
• Independently investigate problems and resolve issues requiring research
Requirements:
• Must have current Occupational Health Nurse or EMT-P Designation
• Able to work 12 hour rotational shifts 4 on 4 off
• Superb time management, organizational skills and intensely detail-oriented are all MUSTS!
• Proven ability to interface with internal and external contacts on complex, confidential issues; provide guidance to the team; determine urgency of situations and notify the appropriate people when necessary.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced open environment and able to respond quickly and appropriately to new and changing work priorities.
• Ability to make decisions
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
• Advanced interpersonal skills including dealing with difficult situations appropriately with discretion and tact
• Above average MS Office skills
• HSA experience would be an asset
