Medical Services Supervisor

Location: Montross, VA, USA
The O’Gara Group Montross, Virginia facility is looking for a Full Time Advanced Life Support Provider to support our staff and training teams. Under direct supervision of the Safety/Range Control Director, the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Intermediate or Paramedic shall perform various emergency and routine care to permanent staff, facilitators and participants while assigned to the O’Gara Group Training Facility.

Minimum Education And Experience Required
  • Successful completion of an Advanced Care Provider course (Must be current NREMT-I or Paramedic)
  • Unrestricted License, Certification or Registration as an Advanced Care Provider
  • Current CPR ,ACLS,PHTLS and/or ITLS Certification
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an Advanced Care Provider in 911 system, hospital, or military
  • Current unrestricted driver’s license
  • Employment Requirements
  • Must be able to pass Criminal Background Investigation
  • Able to obtain Security Clearance based on contract requirement
  • 90-days Probationary Period
  • Ability work in a Culturally Diverse Environment
  • Ability to maintain all required certifications
  • Flexible Work Schedule
  • Must have or be able to obtain “Common Wealth of Virginia Certification”
  • Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds, occasional running, and ability to climb stairs while carrying medical equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time while wearing body armor
  • Ability to work in austere environments day or night with limited support
  • Skills Requested But Not Mandatory
  • Prior experience working with foreign nationals
  • Hospital or military clinical skills experience
  • BLS Instructor Certification
  • Experience in Tactical Combat Casualty Care
  • NAEMT TCCC Certification
  • Search and Rescue Experience
  • Water Rescue training or experience
  • Working Conditions
    Work will be performed on the O’Gara Training Facility in Montross, Virginia. The work will be conducted in the Medical Services Clinic or in direct support of Live Fire Ranges, Close Quarters Battle Training, or Maritime Operations. All medical support will be to aid in the training and development of Department of State operations or in direct support of additional clients contracted through The O’Gara Group. Work will be outside on flat or hilly terrain and may require operating in a wooded or austere environment day or night. Travel may be required in direct support of additional O’Gara Group Facilities.
