Location: Australia
Reporting to the Nullagine Mine Operation OHS Advisor this role will be responsible for delivering First Aid/Pre Hospital Care to personnel at the Nullagine Mine Operation.
To be successful in this role you must have experience in a similar role in the Mining Industry and have excellent customer service skills. Key factors to your success include;
  • Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Degree in Health Science (Paramedic) / or equivalent
  • Operational experience as Paramedic
  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Office applications
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role in the delivery of paramedical training
You should also demonstrate you have a strong commitment and dedication to the quality of your work, be able to prioritise and meet deadlines, demonstrate initiative and self-motivation and value the success of the business.
The successful incumbent will have high energy and a passion for their profession, be willing to work well with personnel across all levels of the operation and have a pragmatic approach to their work.
Key duties of the role will include;
  • Contributes to the increased capability of the workforce by providing a professional First Aid / Pre Hospital care service for site.
  • Achieves the shortest possible recovery time for injured/ill personnel by delivering prompt treatment in both first aid and operational areas.
  • Assists in the prompt return to health and duties of injured or ill personnel. This includes providing specialist advice, assisting personnel to attend health appointments, liaising with medical & allied health personnel regarding appropriate treatment
  • Design, produce and maintain an appropriate system to capture trends and potential underlying reasons for recurring health issues for site.
  • Maintain site medical records with the assistance of the other members of the OHS team.
  • Deliver OHS and Site Induction training.
