Millennium Minerals Limited (ASX Code: MOY) operates a 1.5Mtpa gold process facility at our wholly owned Nullagine Gold Project, located in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia. Full production was achieved in December 2012 after a short 2 month ramp up period. The Company aims to produce approximately 75,000 ounces of gold annually.
The Opportunity
We are now seeking expressions of interest for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Safety Officer / Site Medic to join the team. This is a newly created role and will provide an integral link between the Mining, Processing, Environment and Maintenance departments in the critical areas of Safety, Medical and Emergency Response. The role is FIFO from Perth to Nullagine on a family friendly 12:9 roster.
The Senior Safety Officer / Site Medic will be responsible for:
Proactively leading and driving a Safety First culture at the Nullagine Gold Project though participation, mentoring and encouraging safe work practices;
Providing OHS resources to Millennium Minerals sites and facilities;
Undertaking and managing medical and emergency response.

The Person
The ideal candidate for this position will hold relevant qualifications including:
Minimum Cert IV in OHS or Similar
Minimum Cert IV Health Care (Ambulance) or Similar
Cert IV Training and Assessment (Desirable)
Drug and Alcohol Testing certification (Desirable)
Mines Rescue Experienced or equivalent (Desirable)
In addition you will have a minimum of five years relevant experience in a Safety Officer/Medic or similar position with at least three years of this experience being gained in an open cut (preferably Western Australian) mining environment.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant software is essential.
