Job Purpose
The Medical Manager will be a registered Advanced Life Support Health Care Professional trained and experienced in the provision of primary and emergency health care. He will be responsible for the provision and commissioning of local health care through the management of clinical facilities and Health Care staff and community health services.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Primary care specialist with first contact and principal point of continuing care for patients.
Provide medical cover as first response.
Management of the Tier2 Medics.
Understand and demonstrate competence in Control Risks’ Standard
Operation Procedures.
Demonstrate client etiquette, discipline and adoption of ControlRisks’ low profile approach.
Assist in the conduct of Emergency Response planning.
Brief clients in line with SOPs.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in pre-hospital, remote and acute care.
Experience in medical facility management including, but not limited to;
budgeting, recruiting and personal development.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office.
Preferred
Experience working in a hostile environment such as Iraq or Afghanistan.
Qualifications and Specialist Skills
Essential
Registered ALS paramedic certificate accredited by the UK
Resuscitation Council or an ACLS certificate accredited by the
American College of Physicians or the American Heart Association.
UK HCPC Registered Paramedic / SA HCPCSA Registered Paramedic / UK RCN Registered Nusrse /
UK HSE Offshore Medic*
*If you have the UK HSE Offshore Medic qualification, please note
that you must have previously served as a Combat Medical
Technician Class 1 (CMT 1), Leading Medical Assistant (LMA) RN, or Class 1 Medic RAF.
Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent.
Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.
Preferred
Close Protection qualification (BTECLevel III and above)
