Job Description
This position is responsible for providing primary and Non-emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and
illnesses, dispensing over the counter and prescription medications as ordered, performing required health assessments for specified programs.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES: Please list by order of priority and, if possible, provide the percentage of time spent on the activity all should equal 100%.

1. Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
2. Serves as the APS 5 medical liaison with corporate headquarters
3. Conduct patient education as needed
4. Advise program management on emerging Public Health issues
5. Dispense over the counter and prescription medications as ordered
6. Perform required health assessments for specified programs
7. Oversees the required screening tests such as drug, alcohol testing, and annual physicals
8. Maintain OSHA 300 log, State and team member health records
9. Participate in plant safety and ergonomic programs.
10. Assist with team member health promotion, education and training programs
11. Leads the health and wellness communications team
12. Manages workers' compensation cases
13. Assist with maintenance and documentation of workers' compensation files
14. Perform other duties as the need arises

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
AED, BLS equipment, OTCs, Basic PC
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally conducted in a office environment; however, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area
with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions >120 degrees.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting and working with or in areas where
a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing
protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published company work rules.

Required Experience: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

Minimum academic preparation includes completion of registered nurse accredited school of nursing program and current
License to practice as a registered nurse in state of employment or Certified as an Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (Paramedic)

Experience:
3 plus years experience in the performance of nursing skills relative to Occupational Health Nursing preferred. Current CPR/First Aid instructor certification preferred. Communication (PowerPoint and teaching), problem-solving and organizational skills desired. Standard computer skills including generating simple letters, spreadsheets or creating simple queries.
Difficulty Of Duties: Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results and coordinating with others.

Skills:
Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
