Offshore Drilling Medic
An international oil and gas operator is seeking an experienced Offshore Drilling Medical Emergency Response Medic to work in offshore Papua New Guinea. This role will be offered as a 6 month contract, working a fly-in-fly-out rotation of 28 days on, 28 days off.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and response of all patient emergencies, non-urgent transfers and the management of patient treatments in Port Moresby for the offshore drilling program. Reporting to the Company’s Medical and Occupational Health Coordinator and the Company’s Drilling Superintendant, the successful applicant will be responsible for the communication of key milestones and results to necessary parties.
The Successful candidate must possess:
Experience as an Intensive Care Paramedic or an Advanced Qualified Trauma Nurse
Experience in helicopter rescue medivacs
PNG Medical Registration or the ability to obtain
10 years post certification experience
Excellent communication
Previous experience working in remote locations
