We are now looking to strengthen our administration team, and are looking for an experienced Medic for our Americas region


Job Summary
Responsible for the day to day medical coverage of the unit.
Responsibilities
Reviews all Medical History Profiles for workers arriving on the facility and reports any safety concerns involving prescription medications or pre-existing conditions before the new arrival can begin work.
Adheres to patient and statutory confidentiality rules
Serve as the primary source for communicating medical matters to the Crew, Third Party and Client. Inform the Offshore Installation Manager of specific medical situations as required.
Reports any claim of potential and actual injuries both work and non-work related, along with any occupational or non-occupational illnesses to the Offshore Installation Manager in a timely manner
Performs weekly equipment and drug inventory to ensure that all supplies needed are on hand and within the expiration dates
Performs random, reasonable cause and post-incident on-site Drug and Alcohol testing for every work related incident / injury
Jointly responsible with the Offshore Installation Manager for the securing of all controlled medical substances onboard the vessel and for the disposal of all expired drugs as per policy and procedure and for the documentation of the correct chain of custody forms as per statutory requirements
Assist the Safety Officer with Safety Inductions, Facility Tours and Safety Briefings in relation to Helicopter Travel for personnel arriving and departing the installation
Serves as Medical Response Team Leader and is responsible for training and the continuing education for all team members
Responsible for initial stabilization of patient and then follows up with a Physician
Monitor employee health conditions and medications as indicated in their Medical History Profile
Ensure proper disposal of blood borne pathogens
Promotes health and wellness programs onboard the unit
Provide the correct transfer of care for third party crew members needing evacuation from the rig that is equal to Company policy and procedure
Performs Health and Hygiene Inspections with the Offshore Installation Manager and Camp Boss to inspect food arriving to the vessel, verify the catering company’s internal-control routines and to ensure facility is in accordance with Seadrill QHSE Policy and local regulatory requirements
Responsible for maintaining and updating medical related documents
Perform general administrative duties as required by Offshore Installation Manager
Ensure that approved rig operating procedures are adhered to at all times. Report all unsafe activities, situations, and potential hazards to supervisor
Actively participate in the Safety Management Systems
Ensure housekeeping is maintained in assigned areas and preserve a sanitary hospital environment
Actively participate in weekly rig and departmental safety meetings
Effectively use all safety and environmental tools employed by Seadrill (4-point check, OBS cards, PTW etc.)
Complete training requirements in a timely manner as per Seadrill training matrix
Perform all emergency duties as per designation on the station bill


Qualifications 
Must be a US citizen or have legal right to work in the US
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of five years experience as a Remote Paramedic or a minimum of seven years field experience as Paramedic
Knowledge of standards, regulations and requirement within the industry
Good language skills, both oral and written
