Offshore Medic & Safety Advisor

The role will require your advisory, training and auditing skills, as you will be responsible for the ships’ medical facilities and medicines, managing offshore medical care, maintaining records, producing reports and where necessary, proposing recommendations and improvements to the vessel Master, Party Chief and HSEQ Manager. You will also conduct accident and incident investigations as required, adhering to health & safety operating guidelines, Company protocols and sharing information with relevant parties.

It is essential that you are either an experienced offshore Medic, a qualified Medic or Paramedic or have Armed Forces Field Medic experience. You will also hold a relevant medical qualification and preferably a NEBOSH or recognised Health & Safety Certificate. It would also be beneficial to hold auditing qualifications or experience of working with ISO 14001, 18001 or 9001 systems.

To work on our vessels you will need to hold or successfully complete an ENG-1 Medical and STCW95 Survival Course, as this post will be offered under a seagoing contract of approximately 180 days at sea over a 12 month period. We work on projects all around the world, so you must also be prepared to travel and be able to do so without restriction. A full UK driving licence is also required.
