Job Location: Offshore (Norway)
We are seeking a skilled Offshore Medic / HSE Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in safeguarding health and safety offshore. This dual-function position combines medical care with proactive HSE responsibilities, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for all personnel.
We are an efficient offshore service provider operating in the oil and gas, offshore renewables and electrical power transmission industries, with offices in Norway, UK, France, US, Malaysia, Australia, Mexico and Ghana.
As an offshore medic and HSE Coordinator, you will be a part of to secure that the organization is committed to protecting the health and safety of all people involved with its activities, with high standards of environmental responsibility and pollution prevention.
This role is on a fixed term basis of 12 months.
Some of the exciting tasks will include
Medical Care
Provide medical care and emergency response offshore
Act as the primary liaison between the Vessel Master and onshore medical support, including 24-hour doctor services.
Ensure first aid facilities meet required standards and report any deficiencies promptly.
Conduct regular hygiene inspections and potable water testing to maintain health standards.
Health, Safety & Environment
Support HSE initiatives: inductions, training, risk assessments and incident investigations.
Assist with safety inductions for new personnel and reinforce compliance with company standards.
Provide proactive advice to management and employees on health and safety concerns.
What We’re Looking For
HSE Approved Offshore Medics certificate of Training (UK Only).
5+ years of relevant health care experience (RGN acute sector/CMT1/Paramedic/Doctor) (Must have current NMC/HCPC registration where appropriate)
Industry recognised health and safety qualification (NEBOSH NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification) and relevant work experience
Valid Offshore Survival
Valid Offshore ENG (or approved equivalent) Maritime Medical. UKOE medical may also be required.
Enhanced DBS Certificate
Dive Medic Course (Desirable)
Immediate Life Support (ILS)
Advanced List Support (ALS) (Desirable)
Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) (Desirable)

Experience of working offshore in a similar role
