Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Paramedic to manage and oversee EMS response in Balad, Iraq. The Lead Paramedic will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including direct paramedic care, staff oversight, and liaison activities with various stakeholders. This role also helps with the direct supervision of the Ancillary Services departments. The Ancillary Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the following ancillary departments: Imaging and Laboratory Services. This role will ensure that our facilities are in line with all contractual requirements; additionally, this role with ensure our clinicians have everything they need to provide the highest level of service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates with Project Management Office (PMO) to help manage general operations, human resources and recruiting.
Manage the On-Site Emergency Medical Services (EMS) teams.
Covers the PMO duties as required per project needs.
Schedule and maintain records for requirements and certification training.
Oversee the work of other paramedics, providing guidance and support as needed.
Maintain medical records and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the site Emergency Response Plan.
Maintain and update Paramedic Protocols annually in consultation with the Medical Director.
Respond to calls for medical assistance, such as scenes where someone is sick or injured.
Assess patient's conditions and determine what treatments, if any, is needed.
Provide treatment, such as first aid or life and patient transportation.
Assist medical providers with medical procedures and treatments as allowed within licensed scope of work.
Proactively and independently administer basic care, including but not limited to inserting catheters with blood specimen collection, urine collection and EKG’s, visual acuity, basic wound care, changing bandages or administering intravenous medications.
Assist with supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies.
Crosstrain to work within in the clinics and emergency room.
On-call rotation schedule participation as needed
Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Current experience in direct patient care and must have worked a minimum of 6-months of the last 12 months in career field.
Have very high fluency in both oral and written English.
Experience Preferred:
Experience leading teams in a pre-hospital and a clinical setting
Familiar with imaging and routine laboratory diagnostic testing
Experience on a military/government site, working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Remote site experience preferred.
Education Required:
Current Paramedic Certification.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or PMP preferred.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
