Job Location: Guyana
SUMMARY
This position will deliver emergent and non-emergency medical care at RMI Guyana clinic locations. Examples of RMI Clinic locations may include but are not limited to hazardous construction areas, areas of high workforce population density, etc. The Registered Nurse is responsible for provision of primary and emergency care to client employees, contractors, and sub-contractor personnel at the relevant worksite location or the defined area of responsibility. In addition to providing routine medical services and responding to emergencies the Registered Nurse performs safety checks and evaluations of necessary medical gear and equipment required to perform the job.

In addition to providing routine medical services and responding to emergencies the Registered Nurse performs safety checks and evaluations of necessary medical gear and equipment required to perform the job.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
To facilitate and deliver Occupational Health services at an RMI Clinic To provide urgent and emergency care for all workers in the RMI Clinic.
To undertake accurate clinical assessment and examinations.
To maintain up-to-date, accurate, individual medical records utilizing a computer based medical record system.
To report medical treatments in accordance with requirements of RMI. Travel with patient (if necessary) to nearest approved Medical Facility.
Ensure that critical medical supplies and equipment are available for emergency use at RMI Clinic. Participate in simulation exercises organized by RMI.
To be fully conversant with RMI Clinical guidelines.
To be cognizant of the content and ethos of the RMI Guyana Manuals.
To be fully aware of the Medical Emergency Response Plan (MERP), Topside and Global assistance available to clients.
To be the point of contact for RMI GCC on the ground, managing emergency cases, communicating directly with the client Environment Health & Safety (EHS) or Operations personnel. Take appropriate action regarding reportable diseases and communicable infection outbreak.
To ensure that the RMI clinic is maintained at full readiness with appropriate medicines, equipment and consumables as required.
Ensure clinic equipment receives daily, weekly or monthly maintenance and technical checks as indicated
To carry out any Health and Hygiene control/management processes completed as required.
To carry out any workforce first-aid training and emergency drill practices as required. To manage controlled substances (CS) supply
To manage patient data using RMI Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
To complete and forward any reporting requirements from the client representative as required.
To be always professional in appearance and manner.
To carry out any site medical inductions required and monitor workforce personal health status in accordance with national or specific Fit to Work standards.
To carry out drug & alcohol screening of the workforce as required.
To encourage health promotion activities within the workforce
To be compliant with any statutory or company required training objectives
Maintain current professional certifications, as designated for assignment.
To actively participate and drive RMI Guyana growth opportunities and initiatives.
Other duties as required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two (2) years as an independent and fully qualified nurse.
Locally licensed Registered Nurse (RN) without restriction- (naming conventions vary by country)
Previous experience in remote medical support services preferred, but not required.
Experience working with offshore clinicians/personnel preferred, but not required.
Experience working in Occupational Health Environment
Experience working within a clinic environment
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
Locally licensed Registered Nurse (RN) without restriction- (naming conventions vary by country)
Previous experience in remote medical support services preferred, but not required.
Experience working with offshore clinicians/personnel preferred, but not required.
Experience working in Occupational Health Environment
Experience working within a clinic environment
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
Medical certificates as required to conduct the tasks in the above Duties and Responsibilities.
BLS/CPR (American Heart Association) or equivalent
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) AHA or equivalent
Valid Nursing Licenced registered with Guyana Medical Council
BLS/CPR (American Heart Association) or equivalent
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) AHA or equivalent
Valid Nursing Licenced registered with Guyana Medical Council
