Job Role
UHCG FZE on behalf of UnitedHealthcare Global Medical are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced registered doctors to work with them. The successful candidate will provide medical and welfare support to crews onboard seismic exploration vessels operating worlwide.
Working on a rotational basis doctors provide primary and emergency healthcare to all personnel on board. Duties may include First Aid training and promotion of lifestyle issues including fitness, alcohol awareness and healthy eating. The successful candidate will also be responsible for health and hygiene inspections and advising on other safety issues, clinic management, general administration and computer based reporting.
Experience / Qualifications:
Registered Doctor with current license to practice
Previous remote site experience within the oil and gas, mining or expedition industries would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
Minimum of three years' post medical qualification work experience, preferably in an emergency setting including pre-hospital experience
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support ( ALS) certification
Advanced Trauma Management Certification (ATLS, ITLS or PHTLS)
Offshore Survival Certificate ideally a BOSIET/FOET
High levels of health and fitness
Computer literate
Good English language skills to B2 level
