Job Location: Papua New Guinea
Exciting Paramedic positions available in Papua New Guinea, working for a variety of clients.
The Site Paramedic provides the initial assessment, immediate treatment and appropriate referral of the client,
reporting all health concerns.
Required Competencies
Thorough knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures
Valid driver’s license
Good communication and interpersonal skills with a propensity for teamwork
Computer Skills
Report writing
Additional Competencies include
Punctuality and good attendance
A customer service commitment at all times
Ability to work as part of a professional team and ensure a high level of trust and integrity within team
Excellent spoken and written English
Required Work Experience
Minimum four years’ experience as an acute care paramedic or registered nurse
Excellent emergency and advanced life support skills
Aero-Medical evacuation experience
Excellent clinical skills – ability to assess, diagnose and treat to aid early intervention
Experience in rehabilitating injured workers
Familiar with state worker’s compensation legislation
Experience in training and development
Required Qualifications
Current state registered nurse or paramedic
Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (desirable)
ACLS compulsory and ATLS (desirable)
Valid Authority to Practice
Valid Certificate of Registration
Travel / Rotation Requirements
Generally, rotations are 5 weeks on and 5 weeks off
Flights, meals and accomodation provided by International SOS,
