Job Purpose
The Remote Health Care Practitioner (RHCP) will provide contract services to XstremeMD (XMD) clients, delivering these services with compassion, professionalism, ethics, and expertise. The RHCP will ensure that all medical needs of the team are met, prioritizing health, safety, environmental considerations, cost-effectiveness, and the well-being of personnel in daily operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Deliver efficient healthcare services utilizing telemedicine technology.
Assist physicians in all aspects of patient care during projects.
Provide medical welfare and management for all personnel at remote locations.
Stay informed about XMD policies, client protocols, and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA).
Maintain patient records using the onsite electronic medical record system.
Support clients in developing and maintaining onsite Medical Emergency Response Plans (MERP).
Ensure proficiency in the use of all onsite telemedicine, laboratory, and diagnostic equipment (where applicable).
Conduct DOT and Non-DOT urine drug collections (where applicable).
Monitor ongoing illnesses or injuries and perform patient follow-ups.
Maintain the sick bay and equipment to high standards.
Uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
Manage inventory of medications, supplies, and equipment in accordance with XMD policies.
Foster effective communication and maintain positive relationships with client representatives, XMD staff, and crew members.
Actively participate in all onsite safety meetings.
Assist in performing and documenting daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of equipment and materials per client, XMD, and local and international regulations.
Engage in client-approved and recommended training as required.
Ensure regulatory compliance relevant to job responsibilities.
Treat all coworkers, clients, and patients with fairness, respect, and professionalism.
Conduct on-site client testing and education as requested by the client.
Complete any additional training required by the client.
Requirements
Working Conditions:Rotational shift work (14/14 or similar)
Willingness to work overtime, additional shifts, weekends and holidays per XMD request and client approval.
May require extensive travel.
Helicopter/Crew Boat travel to and from Client Locations.

Ability to assist with carrying patients from the remote clinic/sick bay to helicopter.
Ability to navigating narrow, steep stairways.
Ability to ride a personnel basket carried by a crane when needed.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications & Certifications:
Ability to tolerate marine, outdoor and shop conditions during all seasons.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to work up to 4 hours away from definitive medical care.
Ability to care for patients in a remote environment with delayed definitive medical care.
Ability to assist with carrying patients from the remote clinic/sick bay to helicopter.
Ability to navigating narrow, steep stairways.
Ability to ride a personnel basket carried by a crane when needed.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

NREMT/State Paramedic Certification and License, MICP preferred
At least 3 years of medical experience in an ambulance or emergency room setting.
At least 1 year of industrial medical experience in a remote medical environment.
Successfully complete and pass the Advanced Remote Emergency Medical Management (AREMM) course with a score of greater than or equal to 80%.
