Requirements
5 years’ minimum previous military or law enforcement experience and at least 2 years’ experience operating as CP TL or Tier 2 Medic in Iraq, or other high-risk environment.
Previous experience operating in a diplomatic environment is desirable, but not essential.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in pre-hospital, remote and acute care.
Fluent in written and spoken English.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provided by the American College of Physicians or the American Heart Association or the Advanced Life Support (ALS) certificate provided by the UK/European Resuscitation Council note: No 100% online course accepted.
Registration / Qualification – As a minimum to the level of HLTAID013 – Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site. HSE Offshore Medic (With CMT1,RMA 1 or RN equivalent), HCPC / HCPCSA Registered Paramedic, NAREMT-P or RCN Registered Nurse.
Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) Advanced. No 100% online course accepted.
Close Protection qualification from an accredited provider (BTEC Level III and above).
SIA licence or PSIRA license.

Job Purpose
The Tier 2 Medic is a Health Care Professional trained and experienced in the provision of both primary and emergency health care. They will be expected to provide a high standard of first line, and advanced emergency medical care up to and including Advanced Life Support, to all project personnel, including clients, staff, visitors, and contractors. They will also assist with emergency response planning, and medical evacuations in consultation with Control Risks and the client in cases where the patient needs to be transferred to higher level care.
The post will include Both CP and Clinical roles.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
Providing Primary Health Care and Emergency medical responses.
Engaging in Continued Professional Development and Control Risks training programmes as directed by the Clinical Governance Manager, Iraq.
Responsible for the care and maintenance of the Tier 2 medical equipment in their charge. Assist management with establishing and maintaining appropriate procedures, practices, and records for the management of the medical facility, its equipment and non-consumables.
Assisting with the procurement of all general medical consumables via a reliable pharmaceutical company and ensuring their secure storage and accountability
Assist with delivering continual mandatory medical training for other Control Risks CP team personnel, and clients when required.
Maintain external liaison with other medical facilities in other diplomatic or military organisations or amenities.
Understand and demonstrate competence in Control Risks’ Clinical Governance Standard Operating Procedures.
Demonstrate client etiquette, discipline and adoption of Control Risks’ low-profile approach.
Understand the key threats to security in Iraq.
Be fully conversant and comply with the Rules of Engagement.
Help conduct effective medical training in line with Control Risks’ directives as defined by the Clinical Governance Manager.
