Job location: Qatar
Overall Purpose of The Job:
*This position requires deployment to Qatar for 1 year*
*Must have active NREMT certification*
The EMT will utilize their knowledge and proficiency of evidenced-based medical practice and Intl.SOS protocols to manage unexpected and emergent situations and treat a variety of injuries and illnesses in a prompt and professional manner. The EMT will support the provision of direct and indirect medical care to patients in emergent situations and will competently function as a member of the team to provide patient-centered medical care in the pre-hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide pre-hospital emergency medical care of simple and multiple system traumas.
• Assist the Paramedic in determining the nature and extent of illness or injury and establishing priorities for required emergency care.
• Assist the Paramedic in rendering emergency medical care to all patients.
• Operate all emergency vehicles as the primary driver with due diligence for the safety of others.
•Restocking EMS units once supplies are received as well as assisting other clinic operators with restocking
• Maintains equipment, tools, and protective clothing in a serviceable ready-response condition
• Performs other duties and assignments as required
Qualifications
Possession of a EMT Level Certification from National Registry (NREMT) - Required
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to deploying. To be considered for the position, you must have at least 18 months left on your passport before renewal. You must also maintain that passport during your stay.
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year of EMT experience in a busy 911 system
Experience in a remote setting is preferred
Prior military or fire experience preferred
