Agriflex Pty Ltd is an Australian owned company producing phosphate at the Ardmore Phosphate Mine in Northwest Queensland. Agriflex is moving into the next phase of its Ardmore Mining operations with plant upgrades and increased mining activities planned for 2024. Therefore, Agriflex is looking to support its expanding workforce by appointing a Junior Safety Advisor / Medic. The role will be supported by the Senior Safety Advisor/ Medic and is suitable for candidates wishing to progress their career in mining safety. The role reports to the site SSE/General Manager.
Agriflex will provide flights and road transport to site and supply accommodation and all meals. Point of hire is Townsville, Brisbane, or Mt Isa on a back to back with the Senior Safety Advisor/ Medic. Other roster alternatives may be discussed at interview.

To be considered for this role candidates should have
- Minimum Certificate IV in OHS and HLTAID011- Provide First Aid. Candidates with suitable experience; working towards both qualifications may be considered.
Experience as, or exposure to Safety Advisor and/or Medic roles, ideally in open cut mining, heavy industry, or construction environments.
Formal qualifications in mine rescue, medic, nursing or similar, or the willingness to obtain, will be highly regarded.
Experience in Microsoft Office systems -Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Experience using and maintaining mine safety software systems.
Ability to build networks and relationships with key stakeholders across site.
Capacity to work independently using initiative and tact as required.
Willingness to learn and to develop required skills and knowledge.
Ability to work FIFO rosters in remote isolated areas.
Current unrestricted QLD Driver’s License and National Police Clearance.
Ability to pass a full Pre-employment Medical including a Drug and Alcohol screen.
