Ship Physician – Luxury Mega Yacht

The Ship Physician’s primary responsibility is the Medical facility and the health of Residents, Guests and Crew onboard. He/she also acts as the Senior Management’s advisor on all matters related to medical services onboard.
This role is responsible for a team of two people and is on a 10-week rotation, in addition to offering an attractive salary package on board a luxury ship.
Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
Together with the Staff Captain, in charge of the Medical Facility’s budget
Together with the Nurse to ensure that the ship is in compliance with USPH and other countries national Public Health regulations and reporting systems
Ensure that all patients are treated under total confidentiality
Set up a Medical duty rooster in case patients require treatment after office hours and share on-call duties with the Nurse
Work together with the Nurse in keeping all Medical equipment maintained (calibrated and tested) as per AMOS and manufacturers’ recommendations
Ensure that all medication and narcotics are stored and issued safely in accordance with company and international regulations
Shall see to it that all medical logs and other documents are properly maintained
Together with the Chief Officer; ensure related crew receive the proper medical related training (e.g. First Aid)
Oversee and participate in our comprehensive COVID-testing protocols
Hiring Requirements

Hiring Requirements
National or International medical license in General Medicine or General Practice;
Vast experience in Emergency / Critical care;
Current ACLS 1) and PALS 2) certification, or equivalent training and experience
Fluent in spoken and written English and have at least five years’ experience in his profession
Relevant STCW2010 courses
Be familiar with AMOS
· ACLS = Advanced Cardiac Life Support
· PALS = Paediatric Advanced Life Support
· ATLS = Advanced Trauma Life Support (ACEP Requirement as of 2017)
