Overview

This position is physically located in Iraq in support of LOGCAP***

Under supervision of the Medical Services Supervisor and/or Medic Supervisor, the Medic, Sr. p rovides medical services, first aid, and emergency services. Overseas, occupational health & safety, and clinical medicine. Serves as the initial on-site medic for routine medical issues for contractors and subcontractors; performs vital checks and diagnoses patients with minor symptoms and prescribes medication as necessary. Responsible for administering on-site inoculations for required vaccinations, and drug and alcohol testing. Works closely with on-site HSE management to assess work injuries and accidents, provides documentation to assist company with workers compensation claims. Determines fitness for duty of contractors and subcontractors with senior HSE management. Maintains medical records for on-site contractors and subcontractors. Required to operate an emergency response vehicle and perform maintenance and inventory management on emergency equipment and supplies.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 
Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Associate's Degree or equivalent related work experience.
Must be able to obtain a CAC.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain a Driver’s License.
Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbally.
Experience: Clerical, computer and communication skills are required.
Required Certifications are: Emergency Medical Technician -Paramedic (EMT- P), ACLS & BLS. All certifications must not expire within twelve months from the date of hire.
Minimum four (4) to six (6) years related experience required.
To be considered for this position an individual must meet one of the following 3 background criteria:
1-Paramedic:
Minimum 3-5 years experience at the Paramedic level;
EMT-P certification (good through period of employment);
ACLS certification (good through period of employment);
BTLS certification (good through period of employment);
BLS certification (good through period of employment) High volume experience preferred; Clinical experience a plus.
Remote experience preferred;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

OR

2-Nurse RN:
Minimum 3-5 years experience as a registered nurse in critical care, ICU, Flight Nurse or emergency room.;
Possess current State Registered Nurses Certification. ( good through period of employment);
Good clinical skills required.; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
ACLS, BTLS and BLS a plus but not required.;
Remote medical experience preferred.

OR

3-Independent Duty Corpsman/Special Forces 18 Delta:
Minimum 5 years Military Medical experience as a Navy Independent Duty Corpsman or Army Special Forces 18 Delta.; Must have good emergency/clinical medical skills;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
ACLS, BTLS and BLS a plus but not required.;
Preferred experience in remote medical environment.

Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements: Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
