JOB DESCRIPTION
Porgera Joint Venture is seeking to recruit a Nurse within the Mine Medical Centre. Reporting to Senior Specialist Medical officer and the Superintendent – Health and Medical. The nursing officer will provide required services by the Mine Medical Centre uphold clinical duties harmoniously and efficiently, maintain teamwork and work in collaboration with other clinical staff to achieve better outcome.
Mine Medical Centre currently manages on average 110 patients a day from the site and surrounding community. Working twelve (12) hour shifts in a FIFO 28/14 roster hence, this role has a high level of focus on achieving excellence within the Mine Medical Centre at PJV

Ability to prioritize workload and confident in working autonomously
Computer skills and experience using an electronic medical record system
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Health assessments
First Responder experience, additional value if exposed to BLS, ACLS, other emergency roles
Current PNG driving license, preferred but not essential
More than 4years experience in similar roles but preferable registered 2yrs after provisional
Pharmaceutical management exposure preferable but not essential
Current Nursing registration
Current Authority to practice
Key responsibilities:
