Senior Medical Officer, PHC, Nigeria - Rotational

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The SMO is responsible to ensure high quality and standard medical care is provided to client in locations, as per assigned project, as well as for the overview of medical care by providing on-going supervision, education & support to the medical staff and remote site doctors.

This ensures that an international & professional standard of medical care is rendered to members & clients.

Start date: July 25 2023
Rotation: 4 weeks on duty followed by 4 weeks off duty
Salary: A good salary paid in US dollars appliesFlights, accommodation, coupled with all the necessary remote site insurances are provided.

Key responsibilities

To act as the Medical Advisor of our Client's clinic in Port Harcourt, Nigeria
To participate with the RMD to ensure Clinical Governance is done according to International SOS Standards.
To support the West Africa Ops Manager and SA with the implementation of policies and procedures.

Key On-Site Responsibilities:
To provide primary medial care on site to the client and other agreed parties.
To provide appropriate emergency medical/trauma response and care which includes the preparation and management of emergency evacuations of client personnel as directed by International SOS procedures.
Health and Wellness of the workforce
Emergency Preparedness
Site Client's in-house facility management
Ensure quality of services and delivery is according to International SOS standards
Audits
Reporting
Client Interface & Community Program.
Additional Administrative duties on-site.

Site Management:
Responsible for the overview of medical quality care at assigned Site Clinic in consultation with MD
Provide direct support to the MD in an educational role of the medical staff
Innovation to drive & update clinical practice within the clinic, as required. Maintain updated knowledge as a clinician.
Lead the team to support ad-hoc requirement per client's needs.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Criteria to Apply:Full registration to practice medicine in country of origin/residence
Excellent command of the English language
Medical Doctor with 5 years' plus post graduation experience gained within primary and emergency medicine
Hold valid ACLS and ITLS or ATLS or PHTLS
Sound knowledge of the principle of general practice management and administration.
Knowledge of I.SOS standards and process will be preferred
