Job Description:
Demonstrates skills to triage the patients as per their condition and provides timely care in response to the needs of the patients.
Carry out nursing assessment, state nursing diagnosis, provide critical nursing care.
Demonstrate competency in providing emergency nursing care and procedures for patients of all ages in clinical emergency situations.
Sets up equipment for assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Monitors continuously vital signs and other parameters of the patient who are under observation.
Performs a wide range of nursing procedures with keen attention on patient safety and comfort, including those requiring strict aseptic technique.
Administers intravenous fluids, medications including high alert medications and narcotic drugs accurately and safely as prescribed.
Administer blood and blood products as ordered and monitor patients for signs and symptoms related to transfusion reactions.
Ensure correct and precise nursing documentation with regard to patient care.
Demonstrate efficiency in cardio pulmonary resuscitation and participates as a member of Code Blue team in the hospital.
Demonstrates skills in care of patient with seizure, Myocardial Infarction, poly trauma,
Assist the Doctors for ICD, air way management, defibrillator, cardioversion, thrombolization and other procedure as per the hospital policies.
Prepare the patient for emergency surgery.
Demonstrates competence in providing care utilizing biomedical equipment’s such as cardiac monitors and ventilators.
Execute basic bedside nursing care and maintain hygienic protocols of the unit.
Performs admission, discharge, and transfer procedures for the patient.
Provides education and support to patient families.
Assists with transfer of patients within the health care facility and to other health facility outside.
Maintain medical records as per hospital policy and procedures
Facilitate information exchange of patient related conditions and treatments at the end of shifts.
Serves as an ambulatory nurse for patients in ambulance or aircraft transport.
Demonstrates skills in implementing critical care while patient is ambulated.
Collection and dispatch of specimens when ordered.
Ensure the highest achievable level of care is delivered through identifying, advocating, and caring for all impacted population in all phases of various disaster events.
Carry out routine check of working of equipment’s in each shift.
Participates in maintaining the inventory of the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing.
Current license in country of origin and with DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Minimum 2 years nursing experience in the relevant area
BLS Mandatory , ACLS , PALS and Trauma Course preferable.
Good English spoken & written, Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential.
